Welcome aboard, Tricia! It's so nice to see another Ohio family getting ready to book an exciting Disney Cruise. I don't know about you, but this chilly Ohio weather right now makes me ready to head south to cruise the warm waters of the Caribbean with Mickey!
You'll see when you look at the different options for staterooms on the Disney Fantasy that each are assigned a stateroom category. If you're comparing the same type of staterooms (all with verandah for instance), you're seeing price increases not necessarily because the stateroom is on a higher deck, but because some staterooms are larger (check the square feet listed), and some sleep only three or four guests, while others that might be the same size sleep four or five guests. Others may have a larger or smaller verandah. If you are trying to decide, I suggest picking a stateroom that fits your family, then compare it to your budget. Pull up the
stateroom comparison page so you can new the differences side by side.
My family likes to stay Midship (because it's easy to get anywhere on the ship), on a mid-level deck like six or seven, because then it's only a flight or two down to the Youth Clubs and a couple flights up to the pools. Really, you can't go wrong with any of the staterooms. Just find the one that best fits your budget and I promise you'll be very happy, no matter if it's on Deck 6 or Deck 9.
Happy planning, Tricia! Let me know if I can help with anything else!
