Welcome back aboard the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Kelly!
Imagine waking up this Christmas morning to find a
Bahamian adventure waiting for you underneath your tree. Is there any better gift than sailing away with Captain Mickey in the new year? A Disney Cruise Line vacation is on my list as well!
My husband and I visited Atlantis for the first time during one of our most recent cruises to
Nassau. The resort is beautiful! You can easily hail a taxi to Atlantis from the pier. When you arrive in Nassau, walk towards the straw market from your ship to find a group of taxis waiting for passengers. Be sure to negotiate your fare before you leave the pier.
Most taxi drivers will bring you right to the main entrance of the resort. When you are ready to return to the ship, taxis are also readily available outside of any of the entrances to Atlantis. If one is not waiting, a doorman will call one for you. Be sure to give yourself at least 45 minutes to an hour before your all aboard time, in the event there is traffic.
When you visit Atlantis, you do need to purchase tickets to view the aquariums or access the Aquaventure Water Park and beaches. My preference is to purchase a
Port Adventure to Atlantis through Disney Cruise Line when visiting Nassau. I like to have my tickets in hand before I arrive and transportation prearranged. My husband and I liked the
Discover Atlantis Tour as it provided transportation to Atlantis, a tour of the aquariums and some freedom to explore the resort before returning to the ship at our leisure.
Cruise back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel if you have any additional questions before you visit this lost city!
"Sea" ya real soon! Angie
