Looking to buy tickets for Disneyland 2025. I always thought the more days you buy for park passes (3 days vs 2,etc), it was cheaper the more days you book. But looking at prices, it is cheaper to book 1 day park ticket individually. Why is this?

Hello there, Karen, and welcome to planDisney!

We're so glad that you came to us with your question and I see that you're contemplating a trip to the Disneyland Resort! You've certainly come to the right place and I'd be happy to discuss tickets and ticket prices with you in order to clear up some confusion.

If you've been looking at Disneyland Resort Theme Park Tickets, then you'll have seen that you can purchase either a 1-Day or a Multi-Day Ticket (up to 5 days). For multi-day tickets, the price per day decreases as you increase the number of days on the ticket. There are no blockout dates for multi-day tickets, so if you have to change your reservation dates, you are allowed to change to any date before the ticket expires.

1-Day Tickets are a bit more complicated in that they are subject to a Tier System. The price will depend on the day that you select, and higher tier days would be blocked out if you decide that you want to reschedule your reservations. You would need to upgrade your ticket to a higher tier and pay the difference in cost.

What you're seeing is likely the comparison in cost between a 2-Day Ticket and the price of two lower tier 1-Day tickets. Sometimes, it does work out to be more cost effective to purchase two 1-Day Tickets but you lose the freedom that you'd have with a multi-day ticket.

Now with all that boring stuff out of the way, when are you going to be visiting? The rest of the year is stacked with exciting events and celebrations! After Halloween Time ends on October 31, 2024, the Holiday Season officially begins on November 15, 2024 as well as the Grand Opening of Tiana's Bayou Adventure. I'm so excited for this attraction to make its West Coast debut. And if that's not enough, next year is Disneyland Park's 70th Anniversary! I can't wait to see what they announce for this!

Karen, I hope this was helpful in your decision making. I wish you the best as you plan your trip and please reach out to us again if you have more questions. We'd love to hear from you and you're always welcome here!

Wishing You a Great, Big, Beautiful Tomorrow!

Ahoy there from the heart of Steinbeck Country in central California! I've been visiting the Disneyland Resort since childhood and fell in love with the sense of absolute immersion that the Imagineers have achieved. My favorite attraction is Pirates of the Caribbean because where else can you go from a California day to an evening boat ride in the bayou with "salty old pirates"? I'm a veterinarian and an all-around Disney geek and enthusiast. I'd love to help you plan your next Disneyland trip! Learn More About Al
