I am looking to buy a digital gift card for drinks at epcot specifically. I read the description and all the gift cards say “merchandise “ in gift shops. Which is the right to buy or do you even have one for drinks?

    Hello Michelle!

Thanks for bringing your question our way! I'm happy to assist.

I celebrated my birthday at EPCOT a few weekends ago and some of my magical planDisney pals sent me a Disney Gift Card eGift in honor of the occasion. They instructed me to celebrate with some champagne from Les Vins de France, located just across from L'Artisan des Glaces, or a few treats from the many EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival Global Marketplaces. Our first stop was in Mexico for a Mango Sunrise Margarita and a Poblano Margarita (both were amazing, by the way) and I'm happy to report that I was able to pay for our beverages using the digital eGift's barcode. We continued the fun as we traveled World Showcase and I had no trouble purchasing drinks with that card's code displayed on my phone screen.

You won't find a gift card specifically for drinks, but Disney Gift Cards can be used for nearly all food, beverage and merchandise purchases in the parks and at Disney Resorts Collection Hotels. The only time I ran into an issue was when I tried to purchase champagne using a specific type of dining card I had received as part of a hosted stay on a previous trip. Cast Members at the aforementioned location indicated that this specific type of dining card wasn't accepted there as it was technically considered a merchandise location. However, you shouldn't have any trouble as those types of cards are usually only available as a gifted promotion and not for purchase.

I'd also like to mention that physical gift cards are available in exclusive designs during the festival season. You can purchase one in most EPCOT shops (I grabbed one from Port of Entry on a previous visit) and they even come with a convenient stretchy bracelet attached. I believe the minimum load amount was $15 and you can reload them as needed if you plan to do a lot of eating and drinking. My pal Jessica and I gushed about the cute designs and handy bracelets in a podcast about last year's festival.

Be sure to review the Disney Eats: Foodie Guide to EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival 2024 so you can make a game plan for your upcoming food and beverage purchases. I loved each of these food items, and really enjoyed the Hard Cider Flight from Morocco, too. I have plans to check out the options at Bramblewood Bites and Milled & Mulled during my November visit.

I hope this helped, Michelle! If we can offer any additional guidance please come back and let us know.

    Magic and memories,
    Amy
