Hello, looking to bring my daughter to WDW for her 8th birthday. I would like to aim for the most kid friendly spot that has multiple on sight activity options for days we do not go to the parks. Hoping to make it as memorable as possible. Any suggestions?

Hello, Enjoli! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Your daughter is sure to have a birthday celebration she'll always remember at Walt Disney World! My suggestion for a Resort hotel with many on-site activities and kids programs (most of which are complimentary!) is Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. This Resort hosts many fun and interesting cultural programs and animal activities such as cookie decorating, an evening campfire and storytelling, medallion rubbing, African face painting, culinary tours, animal tracking, night vision animal viewing and even flamingo feedings.

Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is one of my family's favorite resorts. My nearly 8-year-old daughter can easily spend an entire day at the resort. We also love roasting marshmallows at the evening campfire, listening to African folktales and spotting various native African wildlife on the savannas using special infrared night-vision goggles.

I highly recommend the Culinary Tour of the Resort's two table-service restaurants, Boma-Flavors of Africa and Jiko-The Cooking Place and the Cultural Tour of Sanaa Restaurant at nearby Kidani Village (both tours are complimentary). Another must-do is the "African-Inspired, Disney Designed" tour of Kidani Village where you'll learn the story and inspiration behind the design of Animal Kingdom Lodge.

A very memorable way to celebrate your daughter's special day would be the Wanyama Safari, a private guided tour of the savannas at Animal Kingdom Lodge followed by dinner at Jiko. To experience the Wanyama Safari adventure, you must be a guest of Animal Kingdom Lodge and be 8 years of age or older. What a magical way to celebrate your daughter's 8th birthday!

Please stop back with any additional questions -- I'd be happy to assist you further with your vacation planning!
