We are looking at booking a room at Disney's Vero Beach Resort to celebrate my daughter's 2nd birthday. The dates we're looking to travel are Sept 23-28. Will the pools still be open during these dates?

    ChEARs Amber!

What a supercalifragilisticexpialidocious way to celebrate a second birthday! We took my twins to Disney's Vero Beach Resort for the first time right before they turned three, and it was the perfect place for a toddler vacation. The pool is fantastic (look for the hidden Mickeys!), the splash pad is a kiddo's dream, and the beach is mere steps away. We spent a blissful four days enjoying the sand and surf, and I'm sure you too will have a magical time!

I know there's a lot of questions as we adjust to our new magical normal. Rest assured that when the Resorts open, you will be able to enjoy the pool and amenities. Disney's Vero Beach Resort is slated to open on June 15th, so I don't anticipate any issues with your September vacation. A quick note, though, while recreation and dining will be open, Minnie & Co. might "redecorate" a bit, meaning that operating hours might be adjusted, and you might see physical distancing measures in place.

Amber, before I let you go, I've got to tell you about my most favorite part of the Resort. There is DOLE WHIP!! Wind and Waves Market is our most frequent stopping place at the Resort. Honestly, it got to be a little embarrassing when the Cast Members would see my little crew coming in and hand over the cups without question! I wish you and your baby girl a very Happy Birthday. If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to come back.
