Hey Howdy Hey Elaine,
Welcome back to planDisney. How exciting that you have narrowed down your
Walt Disney World Resort Collection choice. You cannot go wrong with any selection along Crescent Lake. My kids love that area in the late evenings with all the lights and excitement, and I find it breathtaking during the morning sunrise.
I love that your grandson is a fellow Experiment 626 fan. Stitch is my oldest son's favorite Disney character so we are often on the hunt for some quality time with that little blue alien during our
Walt Disney World Resort vacations. Lilo and Stich had been taking some time to surf and hunt for seashells, but I am super excited to hear they will be returning to host the
Best Friends Breakfast at 'Ohana (located inside the
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort) in late September. Dinner is a little past Stitch's bed time - and you know how rambunctious he can get when he is tired, so the only time you will be able to see him is over a yummy breakfast buffet of eggs, Mickey waffles and more.
Depending on what time your reservation is, you will have a number of great
Disney Resort Transportation options at your disposal. The easiest, and the option that is typically running the earliest, is to take the
Magic Kingdom bus from your resort to the theme park entrance and jump on the resort monorail (off to the left of the park entrance) over to Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. If your reservation is a little later in the morning, and you have a t
heme park reservation for EPCOT, one of our favorite options is to stroll over to The International Gateway entrance at EPCOT, meander towards the World Showcase bridge and make our way to the front of the park. We then exit and head for the monorail entrance over to The Transportation and Ticket Center. Here you would switch to the resort monorail line and exit at Disney's Polynesian Resort. This option takes longer but my boys love riding the monorail so it is a fun option for us. Plus, I get in some extra steps which completely justifies a few extra Mickey waffles for breakfast.
One last option, if you are saving steps and running a little behind schedule, is to order a
Minnie Van which is now available again through Lyft. You would need to have the Lyft app on your smartphone, and there would be a cost for this option, but we find the price relatively inexpensive and there is something really cool about riding around in a van covered with Minnie Mouse's white polka dots.
Remember you are able, and strongly encouraged, to make advance dining reservations 60 days in advance; and Disney Resort guests can make their reservations for their entire stay - up to a 10 day stay- beginning on their 60th day out. Happy planning and if I can help with any further tips, please
stop back and see me.
Hope to see ya real soon,
Margaret
