Hi!!! We are looking into booking our first Disney Cruise soon and we are very excited. I was wondering do the cast members on the cruise trade pins on board?

Welcome aboard, Alisha! I'm thrilled to hear that you're about ready to book your very first sailing with Disney Cruise Line! I cannot wait for you to set foot in the atrium as you board the ship that first day and the Cast Members announce your family name and applaud your arrival! There is no better way to begin an adventure at sea than that!

My kids love pin trading! Each time we visit Walt Disney World, Disneyland, or sail with Disney Cruise Line, they choose a pin theme for which they'll be hunting that trip. We just returned from Walt Disney World where my daughter was searching for food themed Disney pins, and my son was on the lookout for pirate pins. We especially love pin trading onboard Disney's ships, as there is even more magic onboard! The Cast Members in the gift shops have pin boards and lanyards from which to trade, and often we'll find the Cast Members outside of Cabanas buffet are wearing trading pins on lanyards as well. But, the best pin trading onboard is on the final night of the cruise during Officer Pin Trading Night. So many of the ship's officers arrive in their uniform whites, wearing lanyards stocked full of great trading pins. My kids really enjoy chatting with the officers and trading pins with them. Sometimes they'll even choose an official pin trader of the cruise - someone who has been trading regularly each day in the shops - and invite that person to trade from an official Disney lanyard standing up with the officers. My daughter had this opportunity on one of our first sailings, and is still so proud of that certificate she received as official pin trader. She was so happy to stand up there with the officers and trade with other guests. So, yes, book your cruise, Alisha, and pack your trading pins! Have such fun, and stop back if you have other questions! We're happy to help!
