Welcome to planDisney, Julie! Thanks for stopping by the Panel with your question.
I'm excited to see you're wanting to plan a visit to Walt Disney World Resort in October. The
World's Most Magical Celebration kicks off on October 1st and is sure to be fun for all. Our family will be visiting Walt Disney World in October as well and we're excited about celebrating Walt Disney World Resort's 50th anniversary.
At this time,
Disney dining plans cannot be added to resort reservations. Many Guests have been coming to planDisney to ask the Panel about the return of the popular Disney dining plan, however, we are not aware when dining plans will return. I would recommend keeping an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog and on
Disney's social media accounts for official announcements related to Disney dining plan updates.
While dining plans are not available at this time, all Guests are able to
make dining reservations online up to 60 days in advance. I always make advanced dining reservations when my family visits Walt Disney World, whether it's breakfast at our
Disney Resorts Collection hotel or dinner in one of the parks. Dining reservations give me peace of mind and allow my family of six to have a limited wait when we're ready to eat after a busy day of fun in the parks.
I would also recommend using the
My Disney Experience app for mobile food orders whenever you visit Walt Disney World. The ability to order ahead and customize some menu items is very convenient. You can pay for your
mobile food and beverage orders using a credit card, debit card, Disney Gift Card, Disney Rewards Redemption Card, or Apple Pay.
Julie, please let us know if we can help you with any other questions before your visit to Walt Disney World Resort in October.
Have a magical day!
Bob
