We are looking to book a trip in late May early June for a graduation trip for 3 or 4 families (max 20 people). We want to stay on property close to the parks. Best place to stay where we all can be together?

    Hi Tracy! Welcome to planDisney!

I think celebrating a graduation at the Walt Disney World Resort sounds like a fantastic idea, and I love that so many of your special people can get in on the fun. One of my favorite visits was to celebrate a milestone birthday for my brother, and we were a party of fourteen, representing five different families!

My advice would be to look into the Deluxe Villas. We have done a couple of multi-family stays at Disney’s Old Key West Resort and have found the 2-Bedroom Villas there, which sleep 9, to be perfect, as they include kitchen and laundry facilities, as well as a cozy living room and dining area. You could book two (or more) of those and request adjacent rooms; although adjacent rooms can’t be guaranteed, the Cast Members will do their best to place you in close proximity. We love making breakfast in the room before our theme park days, and I still dream of coffee out on the balcony, enjoying the calm of a gorgeous Florida sunrise. Tracy, take a look at the web pages for the various resorts, as Villas have different room occupancy and layouts, and you may want to be strategic based on which parks you plan to visit most. We have also stayed at Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, and it was dreamy to be able to walk to Magic Kingdom Park.

If you’re looking for a more budget-friendly option, I would recommend looking at reserving multiple rooms at a moderate resort. We stayed with my parents at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, and were able to get standard rooms side-by-side. My kiddos loved being able to run into Grandma and Grandpa’s room for morning snuggles! Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort would be a great pick, with convenient access to the Disney Skyliner for visiting the parks.  Another option is to book a couple of Family Suites at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. Definitely spend some time looking at different Walt Disney World Resort hotels, and think about amenities like pools and dining as you make your decision.

When you’re ready to make the reservation, this answer from Sarah provides a great step-by-step of the process for reserving multiple rooms and ensuring your reservations are linked.

Thanks for stopping by, and please come back and see us if you have additional questions as you plan your graduation celebration. Check out planDisney's tips for celebrating milestones at the Walt Disney World Resort, and get ready for an unforgettable time with your friends and family!

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
