Do i have to already have bought two room reservation and then call to ask to link them?

Hi there, TaLeah! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Last October, my family got into the island spirit with a stay at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. Since we brought my in-laws along for the voyage, we had two separate room reservations that we then had to link. The last thing we wanted was to be staying in different parts of the resort!

TaLeah, you will need to have made both room reservations separately before you can link them to your My Disney Experience account, or link them together. Before you get ready to link, you will want to make sure that you have both confirmation numbers handy.

TaLeah, since I was doing all of the planning for our group, I linked both room reservations in my own My Disney Experience account. Since both reservations were under one account, the system automatically linked them together.

If you are going to be sharing the planning with another member of your party, do not worry! You can each link your room reservation in your My Disney Experience account. Once you have your room reservation linked, you want to then invite the other person to connect with you on your Family & Friends list. Not only will you be able to see both room reservations, but this will let you see the other party's plans and dining reservations as well.

TaLeah, would also recommend that you make a call to Guest Services at (407) 939-5277. Here you can put in a request for connecting or adjacent rooms. While room requests can not be guaranteed, I have generally had pretty good luck by putting in a request beforehand. The Cast Member on the phone will also be able to verify that your room reservations are correctly linked.

Before your departure date arrives, be sure to take advantage of Online Resort Check-In. During Online Resort Check-In, you will be able to assign a credit card for charging privileges if you desire, set a pin code for your account, and input a phone number to receive a text message when your room is ready. You can then skip the front desk and use your handy MagicBand or My Disney Experience Mobile App as your key!

I hope that this helped, TaLeah. Please come back here to the Disney Parks Moms Panel if we can help answer any other questions about your upcoming trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth.

    See you real soon!
