Looking to book Polynesian. Want to be closest to lava pool and Ceremonial house. If we book poolview will that get us in samoa or longhouse closest to lava pool or do we need request specific longhouse? Which would you suggest?

Hello there, Anita! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thanks so much for stopping by and allowing us to help you plan your Walt Disney World Resort vacation!

Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is among my favorite Disney Resort hotels! There’s just something so relaxing about the tropical, South Pacific setting of this resort that makes you really feel like you’re on vacation! Not to mention, it is just a short Monorail or boat ride away from Magic Kingdom.

The Great Ceremonial House and the Lava Pool can be found at the center of the resort. Here you will find many dining locations, shops, and recreation activities. It’s no wonder you would want to stay close to these two locations!

Guests can currently book in the “Pool or Marina View” if they would like to stay in a room that overlooks either of the pools or the resort marina. These rooms are located in the Fiji, Samoa, Niue, and Rarotonga longhouses. The majority of these longhouses are located right between both the Great Ceremonial House and the Lava Pool with the exception of the Fiji longhouse.

If you do intend on booking a “Pool or Marina View” room, I would recommend contacting the Disney Resort Hotel Reservation Phone line and requesting a specific longhouse, if you have a preference. This way, a Cast Member will be able to note your request on your specific reservation prior to your arrival. Room requests are never guaranteed although Cast Members will try their absolute best to fulfill a Guest’s request!

Hopefully, this information will help you and your ‘ohana have a great stay at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort!
