Hi, we are looking to book the Grand Floridian for the week before Christmas 2024, do you know if there will be any construction still going on at that time or will it have finished or at least postponed until Jan/Feb. Many thanks, Matthew

    Hi Matthew,

Welcome back to planDisney! We are always so happy to visit with our friends again to chat about our favorite subject. Thanks for stoppin' by!

As you know, Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is undergoing a lengthy refurbishment. Hakuna Matata, Matthew. (It means no worries!) While Guests will see and hear construction around the Resort hotel, most amenities should remain open and available for your enjoyment. Unfortunately, we don't yet have an announcement regarding the completion of this major project. With that in mind, I would expect to still see and hear construction noise during the holiday season.

If peace and quiet tops your priority list for your upcoming vacation, I'd like to suggest enjoying another Disney Deluxe Resort hotel. Disney's Riviera Resort is stunning and also offers very convenient transportation to theme park excitement. Rather than the Disney Monorail, you could fly in an aerial gondola on the Disney Skyliner to both EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios. Our teenagers love it!

Plus, Primo Piatto, the Quick Service Dining Location at Disney's Riviera Resort, offers not only a Coke Freestyle Machine but one of my favorite Quick Service meals at Walt Disney World Resort. The Grilled Vegetable Skewer is not to be missed!

I hope that helps as you make your Walt Disney World Resort hotel plans. Please come on back and visit us with any other questions. We are here for you!

    Adventure is out there,

    Sally
