    We are looking to book our flight for our cruise aboard Disney Magic in November. We will be departing from Port of Miami and traveling to Fort Lauderdale airport to catch our flight home. What is the earliest flight you think we could make?

    The Disney Magic was the first Disney ship I sailed on, and she holds a special place in my heart. I absolutely love the reimagined areas, especially Carioca's. The food is delicious!

    I did a little research in order to answer your question. Since the Fort Lauderdale airport is about 24 miles from the Port of Miami, I would allow at least an hour for travel to be safe. I think you could make an 11:30am flight home, but I'm not sure I would book travel any sooner. I believe Disney Cruise Line recommends not booking a flight before noon. When we cruised out of Miami and flew home from Fort Lauderdale, it took us longer than expected to do everything due to traffic. I was very nervous, and our flight was at 12:30pm!

    I would definitely recommend just taking a taxi from the Port to the airport. While it is relatively easy to rent a car in Port Canaveral, it is NOT as easy in Miami.
