Fishing at Disney World is one of the most unique and enjoyable activities my family has tried while vacationing at the Most Magical Place on Earth. What a great idea to add to your next trip!
To book this experience, you need to call (407) 939-3474 and have a Cast Member make your reservation. You can do so 60 days in advance of your arrival date, for the duration of your stay if you'll be staying at a Disney Resort. So that means right about now! I would call as soon as possible for the best availability. Be sure to mention if you are a DVC members, Disney Visa card holder, or have an Annual Pass in order to receive a discount. I have seen no indication that guided fishing excursions will NOT be available New Years Day... so I'll have my fingers crossed for you to catch this whopper of a reservation!
You can enjoy a guided fishing experience in different areas of the Walt Disney World Resort, but we chose to fish in the Magic Kingdom area on Bay Lake and Seven Seas Lagoon. The views were spectacular, and I highly recommend it! We booked the 2 hour Guided Bass Fishing Excursion on a pontoon boat with room for up to 5 guests, which departed from
Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. Your fishing guide will provide you with all the gear and tackle you need, along with complementary beverages. You should bring along protection from the elements - like sunscreen, sunglasses, raingear or hats. Every one of us caught fish that day, it was such a great time!
