Ahoy, Joanna! Thanks for sailing by planDisney with your question. Planning a Disney Cruise Line vacation for your family of four sounds so exciting. What a wonderful trip to look forward to in 2026!
On the
Disney Dream, the
Deluxe Oceanview Staterooms with Verandah in categories 5A–5E, 6A–6B, and 7A are what you're looking for: a queen bed for the grown-ups, a single convertible sofa that turns into a bed, and the pull-down berth from the ceiling that creates the fun bunk bed for your second kiddo. The stateroom host sets it up each evening at turndown service, complete with a ladder, and then tucks it away during the day to give you more space.
You’ll also be glad to know that these staterooms come with a split bathroom design, meaning one side has a sink and toilet, and the other has a sink and a tub with shower. The tub is great if your kids prefer baths, and the split layout makes it so much easier for two family members to get ready at the same time.
The main difference between stateroom categories is really about location on the ship and verandah style. If you want to be absolutely certain your specific stateroom includes the pull-down berth or has a certain verandah, I recommend
calling Disney Cruise Line directly, so a Cast Member can walk you through the details and help you pick the perfect fit for your family.
Once you’ve got your stateroom booked, you’ll be ready to enjoy everything the Dream has to offer. While your kids are off having a blast in the youth clubs, I hope you sneak away for a little grown-up time at Quiet Cove or
Satellite Falls. It’s the perfect place to soak up some sunshine and relax.
Sea ya real soon,
Eean
