Looking for best and slowest days to visit next spring or summer. What is the best time to go?

    Hey there Cyndi,

I love that you stopped by planDisney with this great question. My friends often ask me this exact same question, and while I think anytime is the best time to visit Walt Disney World Resort, there are a few advantages to going at specific times of the yEAR.

One advantage to a spring time visit is the temperatures are typically a little cooler and the summer humidity has not quite settled in yet. Florida summers are often hot, humid and prone to mid-afternoon thunderstorms. While they are usually brief, they can appear almost out of nowhere and be quite torrential while they last. Therefore, if weather is a big factor in your decision process, you will want to look at spring or early summer dates. Another thing to remember is summer is a peak travel time for most families. Once the kids finish school, most families hit the road for their family vacations, with Walt Disney World Resort being a very popular choice. While you can expect that Disney World is always going to have Guests visiting, the summer months are often a more crowded than late spring.

If you are looking to enjoy a special event during your visit, be sure to check the calendar for the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival. This springtime event features amazing topiary displays, cool merchandise, live entertainment and some delicious food options. It typically runs from early spring until the end of June and is a great time. If you have the ability to choose your travel dates, my suggestion would be to plan  your trip from early May through early June. Just remember the Memorial Day holiday weekend may tend to increase the crowds. We often visit during this time of the year and find the weather to be warm but manageable and the crowds have yet to reach their summer peaks.

I hope this helps you find the absolute perfect time to visit. If I can assist with any additional planning questions, please stop back and see me

Hope to see ya real soon,
    Margaret
