Hi TeAnn,
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is an epic experience so I am excited to see that you are planning around attending this event. This is my favorite after-hours event that happens at Magic Kingdom because it is so magical. The decorations, specialty food, parade, fireworks, and snowfall on Main Street all combine to transport you to a winter wonderland right in the middle of Florida.
For the past 2 years, Disney World has announced dates and information about the event during the June "Halfway to the Holidays" online event on the official
Disney Parks Blog. I would keep your eyes on the official blog for the release of information including event dates and when ticket sales will begin. Last year guests with existing hotel reservations got to begin purchasing tickets at the end of June and all other guests were able to purchase a week later in early July. Since your arrival date is not the week of Christmas, you should be good to purchase during the week they open without fear of the event selling out.
Another fabulous event that happens during this time of year is the
EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays. This event is included in your admission to EPCOT and offers a glimpse into how the holidays are celebrated all around the world through food, storytellers, music, and decorations. This festival culminates in the Candlelight Processional where celebrity narrators retell the story of Christmas through an emotional musical journey. It is a must-do during the holiday season! You can make a dining reservation at EPCOT closer to your vacation that includes preferred seating for the Candlelight Processional which is a great option if you want to attend on a night with a top-name celebrity.
Happy Planning,
Jenna
