I am looking for assistance on parks and accommodations for August 2022. We will have 4 and 5yr old girls and looking to spend 3 full days in the parks so a total of 5 days altogether. How do we best maximize the trip?

    Welcome to planDisney, Dana!

I’m so excited to hEAR you are looking to plan a trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth!

I would recommend building your own Walt Disney Resort Vacation Package. On the Walt Disney World Resort website, you’re able to choose from the Disney Resorts Collection hotels, purchase theme park tickets, make dining reservations, and so much more! Before purchasing your tickets, do be sure to look at the Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar. You will want to be sure the parks are available during your visit because Guests need Disney Park Pass reservations and theme park tickets to enter the parks. I highly recommend making your Disney Park Pass reservations as soon as you’re through purchasing your tickets.

For lodging, I really love to stay inside the magic at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel. There are so many great choices fit for different budgets. If your princesses are fans of Magic Kingdom Park, I would recommend looking into Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. It’s a quick and easy boat ride away from the theme park and has such a warm and inviting atmosphere. Another fantastic option is Disney’s Art of Animal Resort, with its larger-than-life characters and fun theming! This hotel offers rides on the Disney Skyliner which will whisk you away to EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios!

To maximize your trip, I would recommend you check the Theme Park hours every day of your visit and plan to get there as early as you possibly can to spend the mornings at that park. I would either make a dining reservation at an indoor restaurant in the parks for lunch or plan on going back to the hotel midday when the Florida heat gets intense. You can eat at your Disney hotel, and play in the pool, and then head back into the parks when you’re rested and ready for more fun! There are plenty of fun activities and adventures for your little ones at each park!

If this sounds a bit overwhelming, don’t worry, Dana! For Guests who have never traveled to Walt Disney World Resort, I like to recommend using an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner. They are experts that can help you choose the right hotel for your family, make your Disney Park Pass reservations; they can even make your dining reservations. These specialists come at no extra cost to you, so it’s truly a win/win situation. You can find a great agent by asking family and friends for recommendations or a quick search on the Internet!

We can't wait to welcome you to the magic, Dana!
