Welcome to planDisney, Kathryn!
As a mom of a 20-year-old son, I completely understand the significance of the all-important "coming of age" birthday milestone. Celebrating at EPCOT amongst family and friends will be a memory she'll always cherish. The Walt Disney World website doesn't have an option to send birthday invitations, but you may want to consider sending digital birthday invitations online and adding some links to the pages I'll suggest below to get started. Here are some initial steps:
1. Get everyone in your group to download the
My Disney Experience App. Then you can connect with everyone through
Family & Friends. The Walt Disney World website has instructions on how to set this up and send email invitations; this way, you can plan together.
2. Once this is set up, it's time to get
park tickets and
make park reservations! You'll want to do this ASAP.
3. Decide if you want to have a sit-down meal; your booking window will be available
starting 60 days in advance. Depending on your group size, you may need to designate a helper to book dining reservations. I'm also a big fan of the
Holiday Kitchens at the
EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, and no reservations are needed!
3. Be sure to pick up a complimentary
"Happy Birthday" button at EPCOT Guest Relations or any merchandise location.
4. My favorite place for a celebratory drink is
Cava del Tequila inside the Mexico Pavilion, and it would be a great place to toast the birthday girl!
Kathryn, I hope your daughter has the most magical birthday! If you need anything else, the planDisney Panel is all ears!
