Hi, Arthur! So many think Walt Disney World Resort is just for kids, but there are amazing ways for adults to have their own unforgettable evening! You could spend an afternoon being pampered in one of the spas or an evening singing along at Jellyrolls. Personally, I love to spend an evening doing the "monorail crawl," where you hop on the
Resort monorail line and stop at each monorail resort to visit its spirited lounges. With three Resort hotels located on the monorail, you've got the makings of a pretty awesome evening!
From the Transportation and Ticket Center, you will first visit Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. You can kick off your evening with a Lapu Lapu at Tambu Lounge. Who can resist a taste of the islands in a pineapple? Next, head downstairs to visit Trader Sam's Grog Grotto. I won't spoil any surprises, but you will lose your head over all the antics at this tiki bar! Uh-Oa!
Next stop, Mizner's Lounge at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa! Music lovers love this spot, as the house jazz band, Grand Floridian Society Orchestra, plays right outside. More classic cocktails are served here, with a slight twist. They also serve delicious appetizers and small plate entrees. Look for the Grand Cosmopolitan to enjoy with a little Peekytoe Crab Salad.
Disney's Contemporary Resort will be your last stop. You could stop in at The Wave Lounge, but I really recommend you try to get a seat at the bar in California Grill and try to time your visit a bit before Wishes nighttime spectacular is scheduled. This would give you a spectacular ending to your evening! Be sure to try the Cucumber Fizz and Anaheim Mule - wow! I loved them so much that we started making these at home.
I hope you have a magical evening, Arthur. Please stop by again if you need more help planning your trip ... with or without little monorail riders!
