Dear Rachel,
Thank you for stopping by with your question! We are glad you came to see us.
Disney dining plans are only available as part of
Disney Resort Hotel Packages—which also include a Resort hotel stay and theme park tickets so I am afraid that you won't be able to add a dining plan if you are not staying at a
Disney Resort hotel. Dining plans are super convenient prepaid meal packages that give guests lots of freedom, independence and the ability to focus on the food rather than the prices. My family loves
character dining very much; we usually try to have one character meal every day of our trip, whether it is breakfast with Minnie and friends at
Cape May Café in Disney's Beach Club Resort or at
Chef Mickey's in Disney's Contemporary Resort, lunch at
Cinderella's Royal Table or
Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, OR dinner at
1900 Park Fare in Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. If we wanted to have all these meals and pay for each of them separately, it would probably add up quite a bit towards our final balance. The
Disney Dining Plan or the
Deluxe Disney Dining Plan will provide a
table-service credit per night of stay that you can use exactly for these.
Being immersed in the magic 24/7 has no parallel. Driving through the gates at night and back in the morning will break the spell not once but twice each day.
Staying in a Disney Resort Hotel will open a world of benefits that you will not be able to access otherwise. There are hotels suitable for all tastes and budgets. I strongly recommend you reconsider your choice, you'll see afterward it was the best decision you could have ever made!
Rachel, I wish you and your family the most pixie-dusted vacation of all! Please keep coming back with more and more questions; we are hEAR to help you!
See ya real soon,
~Desiree
