    Here's the scoop...

    The meal times vary by restaurant. For the most part these are listed on the menu pages on allearsnet.com. As an example, look at the lunch menu page for the Crystal Palace which lists the hours of operation as 11:30 - 3:00. The dinner menu page for the Crystal Palace says the hours of operation are 4:00 to -- depends on park closing. About a week ago, I was able to walk up to the Crystal Palace at about 4:15 without a reservation and be seated for dinner. Other restaurants will have other hours.

    Specialty cakes can be ordered for breakfast depending on the venue. For more information, call the Disney cake hotline (how cool is that) at 407-827-2253.

    Free birthday cupcakes are never guaranteed, but I have seen them given to adult guests at Chef Mickey's. A pleasant chat with the host or hostess at the podium should be able to turn things in your direction.
