    How long will the WDW 40th Anniversary Celebration go on? Will it be for an entire year (or more) like previous celebrations? Heading to WDW in Aug. 2012 and hoping to help celebrate! Will we still be able to purchase anniversary merchandise in the Parks?

    Hi Loretta!

    Its so difficult to say! I wish I had some insider knowledge for you, but I don't unfortunately! While I was lucky enough to be in the Magic Kingdom on its 40th Anniversary, I wasn't lucky enough to scoop up any of the official, limited edition merchandise. This went extremely fast and sold out within a few minutes of park opening (if not sooner!)!!

    There were a number of special Tshirts and art available at resorts like the Contemporary and Polynesian. The Art of Disney also featured some special edition 40th Anniversary figurines, cups and artwork. I have not seen an official announcement of if these will be sold all year, but I personally don't think there will be too much merchandise left next August. I hope I'm wrong!
