Ka-chow, Sharon.
I’m so glad you followed Lightning McQueen through Radiator Springs and found planDisney along the way, but I’m even more excited to hear you have a Walt Disney World Resort vacation on the horizon in just a few days! Let the final countdown commence!
Sharon, you will love your stay at
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort! The Family Suites are so spacious with plenty of room for the whole family to spread out, and you really can’t beat having two bathrooms and a kitchenette at your disposal. I’ve never stayed in the Cars section myself, but I did explore the area during a recent stay in a Finding Nemo Family Suite, and it is so much fun! There are life-size versions of Lighting McQueen, Flo, and other Radiator Springs pals to take pictures with, and the
Cozy Cone Pool area looks just like the Cozy Cone Motel.
While the theming is top-notch, the real standout of staying at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort is having on-site access to the
Disney Skyliner. Complimentary transportation via the Disney Skyliner begins 45 minutes prior to park opening times and ends up to 1 hour after park closing times (based on
EPCOT and
Disney’s Hollywood Studios' operational times). The sign positioned outside the Disney Skyliner station will list the exact operational hours for the day, but you can also find transportation information in the “Resort Hotel” page in the
My Disney Experience mobile app. I would estimate that it takes about 10-15 minutes to get from the Cars Family Suites to the Disney Skyliner station at your Resort, depending on your pace of walking. Once you’re on board, it takes approximately 15-20 minutes to reach your destination, though it could take a bit longer.
Sharon, I hope this information proves useful. If you think of anything else we can help you with in the meantime, please stop by planDisney again. Have a truly magical vacation, and we’ll see ya real soon!
