Hello! How long is the walk from the bus stop at POFQ to the furthest buildings (like 1 or 7)? Stayed at Little Mermaid AOA and the walk was long at the end of the day for 5 yr old and older grandparents. And no dedicated bus, right? Thanks!!

Hi, Theresa!  There is no dedicated bus for Port Orleans French Quarter.  The resort bus service is shared with Port Orleans Riverside, and while you will read some critical reviews online, in my experience, it's really not awful.  Going out in the morning, the buses normally hit French Quarter first, so you shouldn't have a problem getting on the bus.  If the bus becomes too full, it won't stop at Riverside, so your bus will never be dangerously crowded.

Having said that, it can be crowded, and maybe even a bit unpleasant if it's really hot.  But the ride itself is relatively short, and it's only a temporary delay on your way to the Magic!

The furthest building is about a ten minute walk from the bus stop and the other main facilities.  And when I say 10 minutes, that is with sleepy children and a tired Grandmom in tow.  The entire resort is only about 500 yards across, so it's really not that much walking from any one point to another.  On a good day, you can walk the distance from the bus stop to the furthest building in about 5 minutes.

I hope this helps!  I love this resort - it's small feel, is quaint theme, and oh my goodness, the food court beignets!  I hope you get to enjoy it as much as I have!
