Greetings, Fellow Floridian Christerlon, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
You are in for such a treat! Walt Disney World has so many
exciting things happening in 2020; I don’t know whether I’m more excited about the opening of Space 220 or
Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway. Your Florida Resident discount on tickets is undoubtedly going to come in handy!
If you haven’t already
verified your residency online, all you need to do is go to a Main Entrance Ticket Booth at any of the four Theme Parks (you can also stop by the
Ticket Center at Disney Springs). Once you are there, the Cast Member will ask for government-issued photo I.D. and one proof of residency. All in all, the transaction is a few minutes. Once you have verified your tickets, you are good to go at all of the Parks!
There are a couple of ways for you to
prove Florida Residency. That proof can come in a variety of ways, including:
-Bills, Policies or Registration (i.e., automobile registration, insurance policy or statement from utilities, insurance, cable company, etc. note though that the bills can be no more than two months old).
-Mail from a certified institution such as a bank, federal, or state agency with your name and address.
Current statements and bills that are printed from an electronic version or via smartphones are acceptable.
Christerlon, I hope you enjoy your visit to Walt Disney World as well as your
new adventure in Florida. ChEARs to a great, big, beautiful tomorrow!
