Hi, long time reader, first time question. We will be in DW Sept on a 10 day pass. We'll be staying for 13 nights so we added the water parks and more. My question is would it be a good idea to add the park hopper option ? Thanx in advance!

    Hi Gino,

The park hopper option is a personal decision that depends on your touring style and budget. Among the Panelists, I think we're fairly evenly split on whether we usually purchase or do not purchase the park hopper. I fall into the buy-the-park-hopper camp. For me, it breaks up the day nicely if we go to one park in the morning, go back to the hotel for a rest or swim, and then go to a different park for dinner. To me it feels less like I'm backtracking. Also, I tend to like dinner at the park that's closest to my hotel (makes it easier to get the kiddos in bed at a reasonable hour), but that might not be the park that had the morning Extra Magic Hours that we wanted to attend.

I also like to keep my options open as far as the weather goes. Epcot is my park of choice if it's raining. If it were pouring and I were at the Animal Kingdom, I might want to switch to Epcot. I could only do this with a park hopper.

The general idea for me is that flexibility is important to be in the enjoyment of my vacation. The park hopper allows me to have that.

However, if budgetary constraints are a big factor for you, then it is certainly possible to have a great vacation without the park hopper. It just depends on what is most important to you.
