Hi, Irene! It's wonderful to see you back here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I bet if you asked Peter Pan the best way to get from
EPCOT to
Disney's Hollywood Studios, he would sing, "You can fly!"
The
Disney Skyliner is the perfect way to travel in style while getting a bird's eye view of Walt Disney World Resort. About half of the over 300 colorful Skyliner gondolas are wrapped with beloved characters, movies, and attractions making it seem like your favorite Disney pals are riding with you. My Mouseketeer made me wait the other day until we could fly along with Stitch!
Although there is no published schedule, the Park routes to EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios typically begin operating an hour before the parks open (or 30 minutes before the start of morning
Extra Magic Hours), and they stop running an hour after the parks close. When I rode it a few days ago, the hours were from 7:30 AM-10:00 PM, but depending on the time of year you visit, these times may vary.
There are five Skyliner Stations, and the hub of the Disney Skyliner system is at
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. If you need to change lines, you will need to get off and transfer at the Caribbean Beach Station. In your situation, you'll want to get on at EPCOT's International Gateway Station and ride from there to Caribbean Beach (you'll ride through the Riveria Station, but you do not get off there). This first leg of your journey will take approximately 15 minutes. At this point, you'll get off and transfer; the time it takes to do this is usually minimal, but at busier times, such as at park opening and closing, you might have to wait 5-10 minutes. The ride from this station to Disney's Hollywood Studios is about five minutes. To be safe, I would recommend budgeting at least 30 minutes to get to your destination. If the Skyliner lines are long, you can also walk to Hollywood Studios- it may not be as fun, but the trip would only take you 15-20 minutes.
I hope you have a magical vacation, Irene! Come back and see us again real soon!
