Hi Nicole!
Welcome to planDisney!
When booking your
Lightning Lane Single Pass, you will choose a one-hour window when you can enter the Lightning Lane on your park day. If that timeframe doesn’t end up working with your plans, you can modify the return time pending availability.
It’s good to note that there is a grace period in which you can enter the Lightning Lane anywhere from 5 minutes before to 15 minutes after the listed return time. In my experience, there have been times when I could enter the Lightning Lane even after that grace period ended, so it’s worth trying if you’re running behind.
Remember, you can book up to two Lightning Lane Single Passes per park day (pending availability), and those Single Passes do not need to be at the same theme park if you have a valid
park hopper ticket linked to your account.
Your Lightning Lane booking window will open at 7 AM Eastern, 7 days prior to your resort check-in date if you’re staying at a
Disney World resort or select good neighbor hotel. If you’re staying off property, your booking window will open at 7 AM Eastern, 3 days prior to the start date of your ticket for date-based tickets.
Lightning Lane Single Pass attractions are often the most popular ones at the parks, so I highly recommend booking as soon as your booking window opens!
I hope that helps! If you have any other questions as you continue to plan, feel free to come back and visit us!
