This is a great question. Shopping at any
Disney Parks location is one of my favorite activities, there are always new merchandise items throughout the year. I can never get enough!
I'm so sorry to hear that you had to return merchandise. After doing some research, I found that the
merchandise return policy for
Disneyland Resort and
Walt Disney World Resort owned-and-operated locations does not call out a specific timeframe for
when a refund will show up in your bank account or credit card.
However, in my experience, when I may have bought one too many souvenirs (can you
really have too many?!), I noticed the refund to my original form of payment was not immediate and processed within three to five business days (not including the weekend). Additionally, it most likely will also depend on your financial institution as to when it will show up in your bank account or on your credit card billing statement.
As a recommendation for future shopping experiences with Disney Parks, I'd like to share that using gift cards is a great way to ensure immediate access to funds in the event of a return. You can purchase these at most Disney Resort retail locations or online at
shopDisney (these can be either digital or physical cards and you can even personalize them).
