How long does it take to get from the parking lot to Crystal Palace for breakfast? My reservation is at 8:10am and I want to plan accordingly.

Hiya, Rob, and welcome to planDisney! It looks like you're already enjoying the magic of your Walt Disney World Resort vacation, so let's jump right in and talk about planning your transportation options.

Getting to your breakfast at The Crystal Palace should be as easy as it is for Tigger to bounce! If you're driving, you'll park at the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC) and hop on a tram that will whisk you to the security screening area. Depending on where you park, this step could take between 10 and 20 minutes.

The time to get through the security line can vary, but since you'll be arriving early, you should get through in around 5-10 minutes. From there, you have an important choice to make: you can take the ferryboat or the Express Monorail to the Magic Kingdom Park entrance. This choice is strongly debated among Disney regulars, but I usually opt for the monorail in the mornings. In my experience, the ferry might be docked and ready to board, but it typically waits to fill up, which can add time to the voyage.

Whichever mode you choose, the actual trip across the lagoon can take 10-15 minutes, and once you're at the park entrance, you should be able to breeze through.

I see Early Theme Park Entry is at 8:30 AM most days this week, so if they aren't letting guests in when you arrive, let any Cast Member know you have a dining reservation. They might ask for your confirmation information, so have that handy, and they'll direct you to the appropriate entrance. Since the restaurant is at the end of Main Street, USA, the walk from the entrance takes about 5 minutes.

As you can see, many variables can affect your travel time, so I'd recommend allowing 45-60 minutes from when you park to when you arrive at Crystal Palace. If you're early, you can snap some gorgeous photos in front of Cinderella Castle. I love being in the parks before the hustle and bustle of the day begins!

Rob, enjoy your breakfast with Winnie the Pooh and his pals. The Crystal Palace was the first place my family ate on our first Disney visit, so it holds a special place in my heart. Please stop by planDisney anytime!

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
