Hi there, Julianne!
There is no place more magical than
Walt Disney World during the holiday season. With so many
Festive Holiday Happenings and decked halls, there's just so much to take in.
Like magic, as soon as Halloween is over, the Magic Kingdom begins its transformation for
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. By the end of the second week in November, you'll see the
resort decorations begin to appear, with a life sized gingerbread house at
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa acting as the crown jewel in the incredible holiday decor.
Decorations are up at least until New Year's day, and then you'll see them start to come down. In years past, for the most part, the decorations are all done by the end of the first week of January - or maybe a day or two longer.
One of the best times to go, if you have flexibility in your travel times, is just after the Thanksgiving holiday. Everything is decked out in holiday finery, and the crowds won't hit their peak until closer to Christmas. It's a good time to go and take everything in.
Happy holiday planning, Julianne!
Anna
