Hiya Michael!
I’m delighted you stopped by planDisney with your question for us.
Like you, I think knowing your vacation cancellation policy is essential. And while I hope it doesn’t come to the point where you’re unable to make it to enjoy your magical vacation, I’m happy to discuss the
terms and conditions of a Walt Disney World Resort vacation with you.
Michael, your answer depends on the type of reservation you’ve made. If you have booked a
Vacation Package with a Disney Resort hotel room and theme park tickets, you can cancel the package up to 30 days from your arrival date for a full refund. If you cancel from 2 to 29 days, there is a $200 cancelation fee, though prices are subject to change. Unfortunately, canceling the day before or on the day of your arrival is non-refundable.
However, if you have a
Disney Resort hotel Room-Only reservation, the room can be canceled up to 5 days prior to arrival for a full refund. Canceling between 0-4 days for this type of reservation would result in the cost of your deposit amount paid when you first booked. Please note prices are subject to change.
If you do have a vacation package reservation, you may be able to modify it through your My Disney Experience account.
To check, please follow these steps:
-Head to the
My Disney Experience page.
-Hover over the
My Disney Experience logo on the top right corner.
-This will direct you to log into your account.
-Next, select
My Plans from the drop-down menu.
-Under the
My Plans, Reservations, and Tickets section, locate your reservation information.
-Located to the right of your reservation information, you should see a
Change Reservation option that you will want to select.
-If your reservation can be canceled online, you’ll see a link for
Cancel Reservation.
If you do not see the link to cancel your reservation, please don’t hesitate to call a friendly Cast Member at
Disney Resort Hotel Reservations so they can further assist you.
We hope to welcome you to the magic, Michael!
