Hi Trey,
Welcome to planDisney!
The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and
The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort are a relaxing way to stay in the magic of Disney World. I love that you are so close to everything Disney World has to offer while also getting an escape to the wilderness.
If you are heading to Disney Springs, you will need to take the internal bus at Fort Wilderness to the Outpost Depot at the front of the campground. Lots of guests staying at Fort Wilderness Resort
rent golf carts to help them navigate the campgrounds and experience all of the fun things to do. Luckily, it also doubles as a way to get to their theme park transportation quicker!
Once you arrive at the Outpost Depot, you will be able to
catch the bus to Disney Springs. After everyone is situated on the bus, it is about a 15-minute ride over to Disney Springs. In my experience, the buses arrive about every 20 minutes throughout the day so depending on when you arrive, you may have a bit of a wait for the next bus. To avoid some of this waiting, I always use the
My Disney Experience app to track the bus schedule for my resort.
I am so excited you will be spending time exploring Disney Springs! It is such a fun way to spend a day or multiple days shopping, dining, and playing. Our favorite place to stop in Disney Springs is
The Polite Pig. Their food is so good and you can try as many sauces as you want at the sauce bar!
Happy Planning,
Jenna
