How long does it take to "build" a droid or light saber? Also, what are the LED/Bluetooth ears called, that change colors to the beat of the music & change flag to flag in Epcot?

Hi, Dawn! I'm so glad you stopped by the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I recently spent the day in Black Spire Outpost and was able to chat with the citizens of Batuu. The Handbuilt Lightsaber experience at Savi's Workshop is about 20 minutes, and "the build your own droid" at the Droid Depot takes a little less time, roughly 15 minutes. I was so tempted to get one of those R-Series Droids and carry it around in a backpack (when I was in there, I met a cute red and white one appropriately named Candy Cane). Reservations for both experiences are highly recommended and can be made up to 180 days in advance through the Walt Disney World website.

Disney is continually coming out with creative and innovative merchandise products, and the 'Glow With the Show' and Made with Magic 3.0: Connected Ear Hats were extremely popular. Guests could change the color and speed of the strobe effect on the ears by using the in-app Color Remote on the Shop Disney Parks app. Unfortunately, now that the Shop Disney Parks app has retired, these ears are no longer available. However, perhaps you or a young padawan in your family would like the Star Wars Glow Ears Headband. I think these would be the perfect accessory for your day at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge

Dawn, I also suggest keeping an eye on the Disney Parks Blog. It's your best resource for news and updates about Disney Parks, destinations, and even merchandise!
