How long is the boat ride from port orleans french quarter to downtown disney?

    Hi Cindy,

We're so glad you stopped by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question today!  Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter is my favorite Moderate Resort!  The water taxi to Downtown Disney is one of the reasons why...not to mention the yummy beignets and fun Mardi Gras atmosphere you'll find there.

Once you're on board, the boat ride along the Sassagoula River between French Quarter and Downtown Disney takes about 17 minutes.  Add about 5 minutes to that time if you're heading to or from Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside.  Boats run every 20 minutes or so, weather permitting.  If boats are not running, complimentary bus transportation is another option and that ride takes about 20 minutes.

I hope that helps with your planning, Cindy, but please write back if we can help answer any other questions.

    Have a magical vacation!
