Hello Emma!
Welcome to planDisney. I'm so glad you stopped by with this delicious question. Let's dust off our aprons and dig in!
Even if you haven't been voted King of the Mardi Gras Parade for 5 consecutive years like Big Daddy, beignets are still the perfect way to celebrate a recent accomplishment or just any old casual weekday. Imagine my excitement when Tiana’s Famous Beignets were announced as a new limited-time offering at Magic Kingdom Park's
Golden Oak Outpost. These light and airy delicacies are part of the
Celebrate Soulfully festivities in honor of Black History Month happening at both Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort.
Though these fluffy pillows of sweetness don't even appear on the
current Golden Oak Outpost menu, the
Disney Eats: Foodie Guide to Celebrate Soulfully 2024 shared that these treats will be available through February 29. I've been checking airfare prices in hopes of savoring some for myself. I haven't secured the right deal just yet, but like Tiana, I'm getting closer and closer every day. I hope you'll be able to time your next visit to enjoy some, too!
I've heard some great reviews of these blissful beignets so I'm crossing my fingers and wishing on an evening star that they'll stick around a little longer.
Tiana's Bayou Adventure is set to open within clear sight of Golden Oak Outpost
sometime this summer so maybe we'll get to enjoy a batch before or after a trip down the bayou. This is all my own wishful thinking but I wouldn't be opposed to kissing a frog to make this happen. As Tiana says, "Fairytales can come true. You gotta make 'em happen, it all depends on you!" I do draw the line at eating bugs though, just for the record.
If these beignets disappear on March 1st just like "Ma Belle Evangeline" when the sun comes up, you can get your fix at
Scat Cat's Club at Disney's Port Orleans Resort-French Quarter. There, Mickey-Shaped Beignets come with a choice of sauce and are usually offered in seasonal specialty flavors, too.
I hope this helped, Emma. Please come back and see us again with more planning questions. We're always glad to assist!
There’s magic in the air tonight, and anything can happen,
Amy
