    Hi!! How long will the 50th anniversary last?

    Hi there, Monserrat! I am so glad you found us here at planDisney to ask your question about The Most Magical Celebration on Earth! 

    Walt Disney World turns 50 years young on October 1, 2021. This date also begins an 18-month long celebration at The Most Magical Place on Earth! From the iridescent medallion on Cinderella Castle to the golden statues throughout the property to the special snacks & drinks, Walt Disney World is going ALL OUT for this anniversary. 

    When you arrive in January, I can assure you that you will be immersed in the celebration. There are new fireworks shows in both Magic Kingdom and EPCOT, specialty merchandise in many of the shops, and so much more! Keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for updates and announcements. 

    I can’t wait for you to see Cinderella Castle all “dressed up” for the occasion.
