How long should you allow for travel time if heading back to resort in afternoon and then back to park during June? Is it worth it to plan a break in the afternoon? If we have reservation at TRex at 6PM when should be leave CBR?

Hi, Tanya!  I would have to say if you are going back to the resort to rest in the afternoon, and if you are using Walt Disney World transportation, give yourself an hour transit time.  Especially if you just miss a bus or a boat, you may have a 10 to 15 minute wait for the next one to arrive, and depending on if there are other stops to be made, you may have close to an hour to get back to your hotel, and another hour back to the park.

For my family, it's really a more valuable use of our time to plan an afternoon break inside the park.  We'll head to a quick service dining location for some cold drinks or a quick snack or dessert, and sit in air conditioned comfort for half an hour.  I have also been known to take a break in the evening, right before Wishes at the Magic Kingdom.  We're all tired after a long day, but we want to stay in the park to see the fire works, so another 30 minute time out is just enough to recharge and keep going.  It saves us the time from traveling back and forth between hotels.

At the moment, there is a lot of construction going on in the T-Rex area as the new Disney Springs dining and shopping complex are well under way!  I would say leave Caribbean Beach Resort no later than 5 o'clock for a 6 PM dining reservation - and I might even say leave by 4:30 to be on the safe side.  If you have your own vehicle, definitely leave a bit earlier to find parking, much of which is in the contruction area.

    Have a great vacation!
