Hi Lauren, and welcome to planDisney. Since you’re arriving tomorrow, let’s get your question answered so you can relax and enjoy your vacation at the Most Magical Place on Earth!
The drive between the Orlando airport and
Pop Century Resort is about 30 minutes without traffic. If you’re taking a shared transportation service, like Mears Connect, the Standard service can take 1-2 hours, in my experience. The time varies by how long you have to wait for a shuttle to leave and how many resort hotels your shuttle is stopping at.
You’ve chosen a practically perfect time to visit Disney World, and I like to say it’s also the most beautiful time to be in the parks. The
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival is underway, which means the park is covered in colorful flowers and plants! I love to try all the different small plates from the
Outdoor Kitchens and look for the
Disney character topiaries (the horticultural Cast Members do such an amazing job with them). While you’re waiting at the airport, be sure to check out the
Foodie Guide on
Disney Parks Blog to preview all the yummy dishes. Some of my must-dos are the Frozen Desert Violet Lemonade at Pineapple Promenade and the Avocado Toast at BRUNCHCOT. Both of these are decorated with edible flowers harvested from the greenhouses you see on
Living with the Land, which makes them extra special!
You’ll also want to check out the
festival-exclusive PhotoPass Magic Shots for some fun surprises in your pictures. With the pretty flowers, there are so many great photo opportunities to commemorate your visit.
Safe travels, and I hope you have the best vacation ever this week! If you have any other questions, don’t hesitate to visit us again at planDisney.
