Welcome aboard, Carole! Your springtime sailing with Captain Mickey and his crew is getting closer and closer! Here in Ohio, we've already experienced some lovely spring weather, but I'd much rather be relaxing on the beach at
Castaway Cay right now with summer-like temperatures!
There are not lockers on Castaway Cay, but we usually leave valuables on the ship for the day and simply bring a day bag with any must-have's. When I've left my camera while we swam, I just put it in my bag with a towel over it and we've never had a problem. I have seen some travel personal safes advertised lately for use at a beach or on vacation if you're worried, but after many visits to Castaway Cay, we always feel safe with our things on the beach. When it's time to explore or take a
Port Adventure, I keep my camera with me because there's always something magical I want to record!
Don't worry at all about not having a Private Cabana. My family and I have had opportunities to rent one, but we always choose to forgo it because we enjoy exploring the island too much to actually spend enough time in the cabana. I have very fair skin, so shade is important to me, and you'll be happy to know that Castaway Cay's Family Beach and Serenity Bay, the adult exclusive beach, are both covered with big umbrellas and lounge chairs. No need to bring your own at all. The picture I've included here shows a bit of the island so that you can see all the multi-colored breach umbrellas on the sand. I promise you won't have a hard time finding the perfect shady spot to set up camp for the day, Carole!
Have such a wonderful and magical cruise!
