Hi, Melanie!
Welcome, and thank you for stopping by
planDisney with your question. Your trip to
The Happiest Place on Earth is just around the pixie-dusted corner!
It sounds like you have a Disney Rewards Redemption Card that you want to use to pay for your purchases with Disney Rewards Dollars during your vacation, and that’s a great idea! One Disney Rewards Dollar is equal to a $1 value at dining and merchandise locations throughout Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure Park, and select locations in the
Downtown Disney District. Once you’ve earned at least 20 initial Rewards Dollars by making purchases with your Disney Visa Card or Disney Premier Visa Card, you can order and load a Redemption Card with your Rewards Dollars. After that, when you’ve earned a minimum of 10 Rewards Dollars, you can reload your valid Disney Rewards Redemption Card.
You can definitely use your Redemption Card as a form of payment when using
Merchandise Mobile Checkout or placing mobile food orders in the
Disneyland mobile app! However, you are only able to link and save a credit or debit card to your account in the app. A Disney Rewards Redemption Card cannot be linked, but when you get to the payment screen when placing an order, tap on "Use a Different Payment Method.” Under “Payment Methods,” select "Add a Card," followed by "Disney Rewards Redemption Card," and then enter your 16-digit card number. Additionally, keep in mind that Disney Visa Cardmembers can currently save 10% on select purchases when they use either their Disney Visa Card or Disney Rewards Redemption Card to pay at select locations at the resort.
I hope this answers your question, Melanie, and that your
Disneyland Resort vacation is a dream come true! Please don’t hesitate to
write back if you have any other last-minute questions.
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
