Ahoy Julia!
Welcome BACK to
planDisney! It is lovely to see you here asking another Disney vacation question, this time about
Disney Cruise Line. How exciting that you are planning a
Disney Mexican Cruise! The
Ports of Call along the Baja Peninsula and Mexican Riviera are dreamy, with opportunities for both relaxation and adventure.
I’m glad you want to be sure you have the
necessary cruise travel documentation before you set sail. While there are
benefits to traveling with a valid passport, not all itineraries on Disney Cruise Line require one. U.S. citizens are not required to provide a passport for closed-loop sailings, which means your cruise begins and ends in the same U.S. port. You can provide a government-issued photo identification and an original state-issued birth certificate. While you can use your Washington state-issued enhanced driver’s license, you will need to present your state-issued birth certificate as well. You can read more about required travel documentation on the Disney Cruise Line website. Hover over “Already Booked” on the
Disney Cruise Line main webpage and select “Travel Documentation” for a complete list of
required documents based on sailing destination.
I hope this information helps you prepare for an unforgettable cruise with Disney Cruise Line! If we can answer more of your questions, please return here to
planDisney. We are always happy to help.
Wishing you smooth seas and a lovely sailing!
