    I live in Washington, but my children an grandchildren live in Southern California. How do I purchase discount tickets for them

    Hi there, Rochelle! Welcome to planDisney and thanks for bringing your question to us!

    How wonderful of you to want to purchase Disneyland Resort tickets for your children and grandchildren! The Special Southern California Resident Ticket is a fantastic offer for locals to save money on Theme Park tickets. You get a three-day, one-park per day ticket that is valid on non-consecutive weekdays through May 25, 2023. Eligible residents must reside within ZIP codes 90000-93599 and a valid government issued photo ID must be presented at entry (minors do not need ID). In order to purchase the tickets, the user's billing ZIP must be within Southern California, so since you reside in Washington, the website would not allow you to make the purchase.

    I had some thoughts on how you could still purchase the tickets for your family, though. Consider gifting them the appropriate amount to cover the tickets in the form of a Disney Gift Card. You can get these through shopdisney.com and your family can receive them immediately via email. Then have an adult family member who is residing in Southern California purchase the tickets using the Gift Card. Their billing ZIP will still need to be verified through a credit card. 

    I hope that your family will be surprised by your generous gift! It's a great time to visit the Disneyland Resort because the Food & Wine Festival is going on at Disney California Adventure, with plenty of dishes for the discerning palate! And later this summer, the Pacific Wharf area in that Park will be transformed into San Fransokyo Square, from Big Hero 6! Throughout this year, the Disney100 Celebration will be in full swing as well!
