Hi, we live in the uk and would like to know more about the Disney vacation club, how it works, what kind of price, where we would be able to stay, perks etc. Many thanks!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Jacqueline. You are in the exact right place for answers and information regarding a Disney Vacation Club Membership. I have been a member since 2012, which includes 4 years that my family and I lived in England. During our time there we were able to use our Disney Vacation Club Membership to book a stay at Disney’s Hotel New York in Disneyland Paris, take a Mediterranean cruise on Disney Cruise Line and stay in a 1-Bedroom Villa at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas in Walt Disney World. The flexibility of a Disney Vacation Club Membership makes it easy to use your vacation points in a variety of ways, opening you up to a whole new world of holiday experiences.

The way a Disney Vacation Club Membership works is by purchasing a real estate interest directly from Disney Vacation Club, you are then given Vacation Points that can be used to book stays at Disney Resorts, cruises on Disney Cruise Line, and locations around the globe with exchanges through the World Collection. The purchase price will depend on the amount of Vacation Points you choose to purchase as well as the location of the real estate interest, which is known as your “Home Resort”. For instance, I purchased my Vacation Points with a home resort of Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa. The resorts have their own price per point allowing you to choose the option that best suits your budget and your needs.

There are so many benefits to being a Disney Vacation Club Member that I could go on for days! Some of my favorites include discounted special event tickets like tickets for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, exclusive events such as Disney Vacation Club Member Cruises, and complimentary events such as Moonlight Magic. You can receive tons of discounts and savings on dining, shopping, and even a discounted price for select Walt Disney World Annual Passes. I can attest firsthand that it truly is a magical membership!

I hope that this information helps you to get started on your exploration into a Disney Vacation Club Membership. You can request a free informational DVD to be sent to you to learn more. If you have any further questions, please stop back by the Disney Parks Moms Panel, as we would love to help!
