Anna from TN Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

I live in Tennessee and my son lives in Florida. How do we purchase tickets being they get a discount for being a Florida resident and I'm a non resident.

    Greetings Anna!

Planning your journey to Disney with loved ones is always a thrilling experience! Gathering the entire family to create new magical memories is truly a joy. The key to accessing a Florida Resident Ticket lies in presenting proof of a Florida residential address to unlock the wonders of Florida Resident tickets. For each adult ticket or pass, the following magical documents will suffice:

A valid Florida driver’s license (imbued with a Florida address)
A valid Florida state-issued ID card (adorned with a Florida address)
    A valid Florida-based military ID

Thus, your son, being a resident of the Sunshine State, can enjoy a discounted Florida Resident park ticket when available. As a non-resident, your Theme Park Ticket shall be adorned with the regular rate. Fear not, for a nugget of wisdom awaits you: the more days you embrace, the more the tickets unveil their enchanting affordability.

Here's a little insider tip for your magical journey! Don't forget to consider spending a day at either Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park or Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park. October's the month you're set to arrive and trust me, the days still tend to hold onto that warmth, making it perfect to dive into all the cool stuff these water parks have to offer. It's like adding an extra splash of fun to your Disney adventure!

May your vacation be filled with beautiful moments and may your family create many new magical memories!
