Hiya Frederique,
Welcome to planDisney! I hope you are getting excited about your upcoming vacation to Walt Disney World Resort in a few weeks. This
summer is going to be an incredible time to visit! The water park benefit is returning for eligible resort hotel Guests, along with many new and reimagined experiences. I had the opportunity to ride
Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin during my last visit, and I love all the new changes. It was so much more fun for my toddlers and me, so I hope you get a chance to become a Galactic Hero!
Great question, Frederique, by the way. I know that there have been some reports from Guests that international Guests with resort hotel reservations have been able to book their
Lightning Lane Multi Passes, Premier Passes, and Single Passes 7 days prior to their arrival while at home. However, according to the website, International Guests can book their Lightning Lanes only 7 days prior to their visit from the US, not at home. Now, as with all things, this is subject to change, so if you have the
My Disney Experience mobile app, I recommend trying to secure your Lightning Lanes 7 days in advance through it. If the policy has changed and it works, then that is amazing! If not, at least you know you will need to wait until you arrive.
I hope this was helpful, Frederique. I know this might not have been the answer you were hoping for, but I do want to give you some assurance. Even if you book your Lightning Lanes when you arrive, there is still a chance to get the perfect day planned. As locals to Orlando, we often book last-minute vacations now. So we spend a lot of time reserving our Lightning Lanes either the day of or before (or not at all). In our experience, we still get to enjoy the attractions we want with Lightning Lanes! Just prioritize your must-dos and leave space to “go with the flow.” With a little faith, trust, and pixie dust, you will have the best day ever!
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
