    As I live in another state, I would like to purchase tickets to give as a gift to my grandkids but Not able to select a date. Can I purchase tickets without dates and allow them to select when convenient?

    Welcome to planDisney and thanks for coming to us with your question! I love it when guests visit us asking about purchasing tickets for their friends and loved ones. It warms my heart to see the generosity, love, and kindness in this world and I think that Theme Park Tickets to the Happiest Place on Earth are a truly magical gift!

    When you purchase tickets through the Disneyland website, part of the process requires you to select dates for the tickets. You will be unable to move forward to the Checkout screen without selecting dates. Don't worry, however, because these dates are not set in stone. Once the tickets are purchased, your recipients may navigate to the Ticket and Reservation Details page and change the date of their reservations. Just click on "Make or Modify Park Reservations" to change the dates. Just be aware that if you purchase one day tickets, you will be subject to the Ticket Tiers and not all dates would be available to them if they have a lower tier ticket. A one day ticket would expire on December 30, 2025 (if purchased today) and a multi-day ticket would expire on January 12, 2026 or 13 days after first use, whichever comes first. 

    Another option to consider would be to purchase a Disney Gift Card that would cover the cost of tickets for them. They are readily available on shopdisney.com and would be delivered electronically right away. 

    I hope that your grandchildren have a wonderful trip to the Disneyland Resort when they do visit, Wanda!
