    I live in Ocala, and want to buy tickets to Disney for my daughter who is 17, she is planning a trip, but she is not a Florida resident, can I purchase this for her since she is a minor using my Florida residence? Also I will not be going on this trip.

    Being Mickey’s neighbor has its perks! Theme park tickets for the Walt Disney World Resort are always a great deal! You can absolutely purchase Florida Resident theme park tickets for your daughter, because she is under the age of 18. All you would have to do is activate her ticket by showing Proof of Florida Residency online. It’s very easy! Just fill out the “Your Florida Resident Information” when you purchase her ticket online, or complete the “Customize Your tickets” step when you purchase through the My Disney Experience app on your smartphone. 

    Brandi, if you happen to be in Orlando before your daughter’s visit, you can also activate her ticket at any ticket window at the theme parks or at the Disney Springs Guest Services location. Remember that you must activate her ticket before you can use it. 

    Don’t forget to make a Disney Park Pass Reservation for her before her visit. It’s an important step all guests need to take before they can visit any of the theme parks.
